St. Paul Municipal Library - LIBRARY MANAGER


St. Paul Municipal Library is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and people-person for the full-time position of Library Manager.

Duties:
Oversee and manage the operation of the St. Paul Library.
Carry out the assigned policies and regulations under the authority of the Library Board.
Supervise and train all library staff as needed.
Facilitate and maintain positive relationships with the Board, staff, community groups and media.
Perform all financial duties such as payroll, accounts payable and receivable.
Manage a yearly budget and report all financial transactions to the Board.
Prepare all grant applications.
Assist patrons in the use of materials, equipment, and/or services provided by the library.
Maintain a full and working knowledge of library automated system and system software.
Keep updated statistics and usage records.

Qualifications:

Staff management and supervision experience with the ability to train staff in the use of library technology and customer service.
Sound knowledge of accounting practices.
Experience in managing a budget.
Attention to detail and accuracy, strong mathematical skills and ability to prioritize and organize.
Sound computer skills. Knowledge of Simply Accounting, Polaris, and Microsoft Office.
High level of communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility and ability to multitask.
Two year’s experience in a public library system, including supervisory duties.

Salary
To be negotiated based upon experience and qualifications.
