Blowdown Notification in the St. Paul Region

On April 15 and 16, from approximately 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days, TC Energy has a planned blowdown and maintenance 10km West of St. Paul (just West of Hwy 36 and 700m South of Cork Hall), at the LS 9-22-58-11 W4M Compressor Station – land location NE 22-58-11 W4M.

Additionally, as part of the shared line, there is also a planned blowdown and maintenance 2.3km North of Mallaig, just off Range Road 10.0 at the NW-31-60-9 W4M valve site. This will take place only on April 16, approximately from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

A blowdown is the act of releasing natural gas from the pipeline system so work can be done safely on the depressurized facilities. As part of this work, you may hear a sustained loud noise in the area, as well as notice new smells.
