St. Paul & District Arts Foundation, from the County of St. Paul, is hosting the ACACA (Alberta Community Art Clubs Association) Northern Zone Show in St. Paul, Alberta this year at 4822-50 Avenue, St. Paul, AB on May 27th, 28th, and 29th. Please see the poster in the discussion and share it with others.
If you are 15 years or older, an advanced artist, or a complete beginner, this is an invitation to all Artists in Northern Alberta to showcase your work and have an opportunity to have your work critiqued by professional jurors, sold and win cash prizes. Categories include Two Dimensional, Sculpture, Digital Illustration, Digital Manipulation, and Fibre Art. Selected works will go on to be featured in the Alberta-wide show.
To submit your work for the Zone Show, you will need to join or renew your membership with the Alberta Community Art Clubs Association and register your work by April 1st. Go to www.acaca.ab.ca where you will find a host of information on the website, as well as in the latest 2022 Newsletter posted in the Memberships section. There is a digital membership form as well as a form that can be downloaded from the site to fill in and mail to the Membership Chair.
You will need to deliver your artwork to St. Paul on Friday, May 27th between 10 AM and 1 PM. There will be some of you who may not be able to make the trip to St. Paul on the delivery date of May 27th; however, not to worry, as you can possibly double up with other artists in your area who will make sure it is delivered to the show. If you have any questions, please call or text Linda LaRochelle at 604 813 1171 or email her at [email protected]
This is a great opportunity to display your art, have it juried and critiqued. Winners are well recognized and there are also many pieces of art that will be ordered by the jurors to advance for a second jurying at the Alberta Wide Show (with the venue to be determined) to show for the month of August. Then the winning pieces will be displayed in Red Deer at the Kiwanis Gallery from early September to the end of October, 2022.
This is a wonderful opportunity to get your art visible. Come out, enter your art, meet with artists, and be seen. Good luck!
