Association of Agricultural Fieldman Memorial Bursary Awarded

The County of St. Paul is pleased to announce that Mienna Starosielski was awarded the Association of Agricultural Fieldman Memorial Bursary for 2021.

“Mienna’s work background and academic achievements made her an outstanding candidate for the AAAF bursary. She has also been a great County summer employee with the Agricultural Services department,” says Keith Kornelsen, Agricultural Fieldman for the County of St. Paul.

Ms. Starosielski is enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture program at the University of Alberta majoring in animal science. “I’m truly appreciative of the scholarship and the award will be applied towards my final year of university,” says Mienna who is from Ashmont where her family farms.

The bursary is intended for students continuing their education at a college or university. Students must be enrolled in an agricultural or environmental science program.

The Agricultural Fieldman Memorial Bursary is an ongoing tribute to active or retired AAAF members who pass away and is in the spirit of continuing education valued by the Association.

A $1000 bursary is available in each calendar year for each of the 5 provincial regions of the AAAF. Bursary applications are due September 1st annually to local Agricultural Fieldman through the local municipality.
