Recycle Your Household Batteries

The County of St. Paul and St. Paul Transfer Stations accept household batteries for recycling.

The County has been collecting batteries for recycling since 2017.  Almost 4,000 lbs of batteries have been recycled!

The extracted materials from batteries are recycled into cutlery, golf clubs, pots and pans, stainless steel and new batteries, to name a few.

For more information on recycling your household batteries see Trash Talk.

What else can you recycle at the County Transfer Stations?  See the ‘Waste Management‘ website for information and other editions of Trash Talk.

Automotive batteries are not accepted at the Transfer Stations.  These batteries can be returned to the place of purchase for recycling.
