Who We Are

The County of St. Paul strives to be a trailblazing and welcoming region – a leader in rural success – with an outstanding commitment to community. We are a strong, trusted partner for our residents, businesses, communities, and neighbours, working each and every day to create opportunities and desirable rural experiences.

The County provides a range of programs and services to residents in areas of administration, public works, and community services. These programs and services recognize the unique rural needs of our residents, such as development permits for continued growth; well-maintained roads for personal, industrial, and agricultural traffic to access and use safely; and an Ag Service Board to bring community concerns regarding agriculture to the Province. Who We’re Looking For

The County is looking for a resident to sit as a Member-at-Large on the Intermunicipal Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB). The Member-at-Large will serve on the board along with Elected Officials and Members from the Town of St. Paul, Town of Elk Point, and the Summer Village of Horseshoe Bay.

What does this role look like?

The SDAB meets only when there is a subdivision appeal, an appeal on a development permit, and/or an appeal on a stop order. As a Regional Board, Members may also be called upon by the Towns or Summer Village to hear appeals.

Members receive training in a one-day course, which is valid for three years. Training costs are covered by the municipality, with a per diem paid to the Member by the County for their training time. The Member’s term will continue to October 2029, and they will be paid a per diem, as well as mileage, to attend meetings.
