Located 4 km west & 8 km north of Ashmont in a naturally wooded area abutting the south shore.
The park is maintained and groomed in the most meticulous fashion to ensure its natural beauty.

"Our Go-To Spot"

This campground is always wonderfully maintained. The staff are probably the friendliest we have ever encountered. After our 5th trip, we are even more convinced that we will be back many more times. The beach is meticulously maintained, the outhouses are clean and located in great spots, and the added amenities make this easy enough to work from home at the campground.

We absolutely love it there and would recommend and to everyone. Bernadette and Tim are incredible and do an amazing job attending to the campers and campground. Been going there for several years now and since they started caring for the property it has been even better.

"Heavenly place to camp"

This is the most wonderful campground. The beach is sandy and clean, the water is clean and perfect depth for the kids to play safely. The caretakers treated my three sons and I like their family and they were so very helpful and kind. I really loved my time camping here. It’s like heaven.

The trails are fun to adventure on and all are connected so no worries of getting lost.
The bathrooms and showers are clean and well-kept. There are lots of things to keep the kids busy; playgrounds and on the beach volleyball, swimming and digging in the sand. There's also a nice little floating wharf to fish off. This place has everything you need to have a perfect fun and relaxing camping trip. Don’t miss out on this gem of a place.

"Favourite Campground"

This is our second time staying at this campground and we love it. A little over two hours away from Edmonton and worth the drive. The sites are a good size, staff are very friendly and the beach is amazing. There are flush toilets & showers if you want, as well as outhouses available. Highly recommend.

Blue-green Algae Advisory for Floatingstone Lake

Issued July 25, 2025

Cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) has been identified in the waters of Floatingstone Lake. Visitors to this lake are advised to take the following precautions:

Avoid all contact with cyanobacterial blooms. If contact occurs, wash with tap water as soon as possible.
Do not swim or wade or allow your pets to swim or wade in any areas where cyanobacteria is visible.
Do not feed whole fish or fish trimmings from this lake to your pets.
Consider limiting human consumption of whole fish and fish trimmings from this lake, as it is known that fish may store toxins in their liver. People can safely consume fish fillets from this lake.

Located 30 minutes northwest of the Town of St. Paul
65 sites (19 are non-powered)
Tenting can be enjoyed within each campsite, at the site rental rate

If bringing wood from outside of the Lakeland region, please ensure there is no elm in the mix and help prevent the spread of Dutch Elm Disease. Remember to "burn it where you buy it" - if in doubt, firewood bundles can be purchased from County campground caretakers.
