Bylaw 2026-20 Public Hearing: North Floatingstone Lake ASP
The County of St. Paul is holding a Public Hearing for Bylaw 2026-20 on August 25, 2026, at 11 a.m. The first reading of the Bylaw took place on July 28.
The purpose of the Bylaw is to adopt the North Floatingstone Lake Area Structure Plan (ASP). If passed, a 1.05 ha (2.6 ac) parcel would be subdivided from Lot 1, Block 1, Plan 252 2638, NW 31-60-11-W4, which is an 11.13 ha (27.5 ac) titled area adjacent to the north side of Floatingstone Lake. The proposed lot would be the 10th lot on the quarter section, which requires an ASP to be adopted pursuant to Section 2.2.13 of the Municipal Development Plan.
The draft bylaw can be found here. Council will receive comments at the Public Hearing on the proposed ASP, in accordance with Section 692 of the Municipal Government Act, Chapter M-26, Revised Statutes of Alberta 2000, as amended.
Persons claiming to be affected by the proposed change may voice their concerns at the Public Hearing. Comments may also be sent via written submissions that are mailed, emailed ([email protected]), or delivered to the County Administration Office before the Public Hearing.
At the Public Hearing, the Chair shall hear representation first from people who claim to be directly affected by the proposed amendment, followed by any other person who wishes to speak.
