Our Chamber of Commerce is a local member-based not for profit organization, governed by the Board of Trade Act at the Federal level and the Societies Act at the Provincial level. The association is comprised of business, professionals, residents and other community groups working together to ensure a healthy economic and socio-economic base to benefit the entire community. The Chamber exists to:
Advance existing business and support economic development initiatives;
Constructively influence public policy and governments in support of a healthy business climate; and to
Provide valuable support, tools and programs for our members.

SPAN is a charitable agency supporting people who live with limitations and/or challenging conditions that prevent them from participating fully in their community.
We support people with a range of home living options. From 24 hour supervised complex care, to peer support and independent living, persons with disabilities and their families can select supports that fit the person.
A full range of day options, from senior care to community access to employment are available. Recreation and relationships are often challenging areas for people who live with disability. SPAN offers a busy schedule of activities, vacation options and personal connections that often vastly improve people’s quality of life.
Support for Brain Injury survivors; people who live with mental illness and families needing respite care are also available. Advice for families facing the need for Guardianship of a loved one, or the development of a personal directive is available at SPAN.
Projects for 2013/14 are:Beef- Steer, Heifer, two year old Cow/calf, Foods, Sheep, and Cleavers
SPYC is a youth-led, volunteer-based organization that acts as a vehicle for the young people in our community. They promote youth involvement by planning and hosting events and activities for all community youth.
