
Accepting Dust Control Applications
The County of St. Paul is accepting applications from residents interested in dust control for the 2025 season! Dust controls cover 200 metres in length and are a blend of calcium chloride and magnesium hydroxide to help suppress the dust that is kicked up on gravel roads during the warmer months.
Residents can apply annually for this service, between January 1 and May 15, with the required payment. The application form is available at the County Admin Office, Public Works shop, or here on our website.
25% of the actual costs for 2025 is $470, given that the residents meets three conditions:
- The residence is occupied
- The residence is the primary yard site
- The residence is within 150 metres of the centre of the road
Completed forms with payment can be mailed to 5015 49 Avenue, St. Paul AB T0A 3A4 or dropped off at either the County Administration or Public Works offices.
Property owners whose residence is over 150 metres from the centre of the road will pay full 2025 cost ($1880). Those who request more than 200 metres in length will pay the full cost for the section over 200 metres.
* Residents whose quality of life is diminished by excessive dust due to a medical condition may request dust control, free of charge. A letter from a physician or medical certificate will be required.
