Bylaw 2026-08 Public Hearing: Owlseye Road Closures

The County of St. Paul No. 19 is holding a Public Hearing for Bylaw 2026-08 on April 28, 2026, at 11 a.m. The first reading of the Bylaw took place on March 24.

The purpose of the Bylaw is to close and sell the abandoned parts of Railway Avenue, First Street East, First Avenue, and all Lanes in Block 1, all within Plan 867CL in the Hamlet of Owlseye, in accordance with Section 692 of the Municipal Government Act, Chapter M-26, Revised Statutes of Alberta 2000, as amended. A copy of the proposed Bylaw can be obtained by emailing [email protected].

Persons claiming to be affected by this change may voice their concerns at the Public Hearing. If you wish to speak for or against the proposed Bylaw, contact Betty Richard at [email protected], before Friday, April 24, 2026, to attend the meeting in person or virtually. Comments may also be sent via written submissions that are mailed, emailed ([email protected]), or delivered to the County Office prior to the Public Hearing.

At the Public Hearing, the Chair shall hear representation first from people who claim to be directly affected by the proposed cosures, followed by any other person who wishes to speak.
