Group fundraising available, Elections Alerta

Elections Alberta is accepting applications for the Group Election Worker Program to assist with the 2026 Alberta Referendum.

Eligible nonprofit, community, youth, sports and similar organizations may apply to provide groups of workers for selected referendum support roles, including counting and Voting Place support. Elections Alberta approves each worker and retains authority over training, assignments, referendum procedures and operational direction. Organizations must be able to provide a Group Coordinator, communicate with their workers, meet program requirements and support Elections Alberta scheduling and operational needs.

This is a fundraising opportunity for local organizations and helps the community keep poll locations viable in the future.

All residents of Alberta who are 16 years of age or older are eligible to work.

How the program works

1. Apply as an organization.
2. Elections Alberta reviews your application.
3. Submit your proposed workers.
4. Workers complete screening and training.
5. Elections Alberta confirms assignments.
6. Work is completed, reconciled and paid.

Do not submit application form to the County. Contact the Bonnyville-Cold Lake-St.Paul Elections Alberta office at 587-252-5647 for instructions on how to submit the form and, if your group is approved, to receive the individual workers form.
